Inside
Number of beds: 26
General: Centrally heated throughout. Hot water
and heating covered in the cost.
Bedrooms: 6 rooms. 5 having 4 beds, one with 6
beds. 4 of the rooms have en-suite shower/toilet and hand basins.
The other 2 rooms have a hand basin and a bathroom on the same floor.
The bunk beds and mattress are of high quality with mattress protector
and pillow.
Kitchen: Large well-equipped kitchen equipped
with:
- 8 burner range cooker (gas), with 2 electric ovens and a grill
- 2 microwaves
- Fridges and freezer
- Toasters
- Kettle and large urn
- Ample crockery and cutlery
- Range of cooking pans including large group-sized ones
Dining room: Inglenook open log fireplace and
beamed ceiling. Dining tables and chairs. Also a range of local
books, guides and maps. Games available for evening entertainment!
Residents' Lounge: Easy chairs for relaxing after
a hectic day! DVD/video players, with a selection of family and
sporting viewing.
Drying room: Heated with drying rails and hangers.
Washing machine and tumble dryer (there is a small charge for the
use of the dryer.)
Bike and equipment storage: Secure, locked bike
storage. Facilities for cleaning equipment. We have a small supply
of cycle repair items for sale and a selection of useful tools for
customer use.
Outside
Lawn area opposite.
Parking for 12-14 cars.
Garden area being tamed at present - hopefully useable soon!
The Pub
The bar is open to the public Tuesday ( Folk evening every other
week ), Friday and Saturday nights ( Live music on a regular basis
). It can be opened for residents during the week by prior arrangement.
Guests are able to use the various pub games such as pool, darts
and a selection of other games (but see terms and conditions).
We are also in the process of building a climbing wall in the pub
for use in rope skills training (not available when the pub is open!!)

Situated at Corris on main A487 road, overlooking River Dulas valley.
Approximately 6 miles north of Machynlleth and 10 miles south of
Dolgellau (see where with Multimap
- opens in a separate window).
Public Transport
There are buses from Machynlleth and Dolgellau. The buses stop
right outside the Braich Goch.
Machynlleth is the nearest mainline train station.
What to Bring
- Sleeping bag or duvet/sheet.
- Pillowcase.
- Food!
Note that linen hire is available if you prefer.
