To cut a long saga short, music at the Braich began with a chance visit to the public bar from a chappy know as Gruff who we were later to get to know very well. Very very well actually as he was one of those fellows that could drink like a fish, never fall over, would talk for ever ( sometimes coheriently ), and seemingly not have a home to go to. All that aside he introduced us to the various bands he played in and the rest is history as they say.

Beginning in 2007 the Braich Goch has hosted a Music Festival with Beer every September and a Beer Festival with Music every February. A history of those who performed there will appear on the Gwyl Corris Festival site.

Open mic sessions will continue on the third Thursday of the Month, each Month. Look out for local advertising for any changes to these dates.

Many bands featured below have appeared at our festivals as well as performances here at the Braich Goch at regular intervals. The first band to perform at the Braich was Restless Leg, local to Corris featuring Gruff on Bass and fairly sober.


		Nick, formerly of Retrospecs, is leading the new "Open Mic" and "Cabaret" which started on Thursday 21st June at the Braich Goch.

"Golden Apple" were part of the Lord of Rings role players that spent a long weekend at the Braich Goch dressed up as Orcs, Hobbits and the like		Many residents have also been musicians who will often pick up our instruments ( or bring their own ) and play

Alan has appeared on may occasions including sessions with Bracken and slots in the Corris Festivals		Beth McCann, together with good friend Sheila Diamond, has appeared several times at the Braich Goch

Gruff introduced to us RestlessLeg who became the first live music band to play at the braich Goch and there's Gruff in the Middle		Nick has been performing since the start with Retrospecs and features greatly in the Braich's plans for then future
