' Mountain biking or walking in Wales?
The Braich Goch is the perfect place for you'
The Braich is adapted to cater for all outdoor activity
enthusiasts and is the perfect base for walking, canoeing, mountain biking,
climbing, cycling breaks and much more.
We are situated in the southern part of the Snowdonia National
Park, only a few miles from Cadair Idris and the numerous and varied walking,
cycling and mountain biking routes and canoeing rivers that the area has
to offer.
The Dyfi Valley is perfect for a wide range of activities
to suit all levels and abilities.
From rambling in the hills to more serious mountain walking
and climbing; from gentle cycling with spectacular views to specifically
built downhill mountain biking tracks: ( and don't forget the Dyfi
Enduro Mountain Bike event ) gentle canoe trips along peaceful rivers
to white water kayaking - the area offers activities for everyone. For
families there are many & varied places to visit such as the Corris
Craft Centre & King Arthur's
Labyrinth, the Centre for Alternative Technology, The
Corris Railway & the historic town of Machynlleth.
For information on 'What's on' then go to the Dyfi
Diary web site.
Then again if you just want to relax and experience the
peace and quiet of the valleys and hills or stroll around the village
of Corris then look no further!
The Braich Goch Bunkhouse and Inn is also a leading player
in the Corris Music Festival
in August/September.

2009/10 NEW YEAR - is now fully booked
Please note the Braich Goch is very suitable
for groups, families and individuals all year. However, over the New Year
period it is more suitable for (18+) adult groups. We are a popular
village pub with a history of lively New Year celebrations and as the
pub is part of the Braich there will be less peace & quiet than normal!
Throughout the Festive period we hold events including a quiz, live music
evenings and on New Years Eve we traditionally have a fancy dress event
in the bar and welcome our residents to take part and join our local,
friendly community hospitality. Therefore it is
possibly not the venue for families, or groups, wishing a 'get away from
it all' New Year break! The bar is the single storey section you
can see on our logo and the bunkhouse section is the 3 floor building.
Owners live on site.
Future events at the Braich Goch Inn
Every Tuesday Open Mic' session. PA system
and instruments available to try out your own music.
4th, 5th and 6th September 2009
